WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita man admitted last week to posting threats on social media to kill Rep. Ilhan Omar.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas, Adam Osborn pleaded guilty to one count of interstate communications with a threat to injure.
The U.S. attorney’s office said that in January, Osborne wrote a post saying he wanted to murder Omar, a congresswoman from Minnesota. He wrote, “I’m going to kill Ilhan Omar!” and posted a photo of himself holding an AR-15-style rifle and a 30-round magazine with live ammunition.

He admitted to officers that he wrote the posts. According to prosecutors, Osborne said he had no intention of personally hurting someone but hoped the posts would “provoke someone to handle business,” meaning, “take ’em out.”…
