In less than a month, Larimer County will open its new landfill north of Wellington, start winding down operations at its current landfill south of Fort Collins and open a new diversion and transfer station next to the old landfill.
And that will cause at least a little bit of change for anyone who’s been using the current landfill, which has been open for more than 60 years and is located between Fort Collins and Loveland.
