PORTLAND, OR – Supporters of a proposed Portland ballot measure say they have collected a record number of signatures in an effort to give residents a direct say in city budget decisions.
The Your 2 Cents PDX campaign delivered 78,743 voter signatures to Portland City Hall Monday, a total organizers say is the largest signature collection for a Portland initiative in modern history. The submission makes it likely the measure will appear on the November 2026 ballot.
The measure would set aside 2% of Portland’s general fund budget each year for a participatory budgeting process, allowing residents to vote on how those funds are spent in their communities…
