Hawaii couple faces World Cup ticket bait-and-switch

NUUANU, Hawaii (KHON2) — An Oahu man said he spent nearly $20,000 for dream World Cup final tickets, but did not get what he paid for.

Consumer advocates said it is not an isolated issue.

Kel and his wife have big plans to attend the 2026 World Cup final in New Jersey for their 10th wedding anniversary. Before the tournament started, they paid over $19,000 through an online ticket reseller for premium lower bowl seats just a few rows back from the field and right behind the goal…
