A Skippack Township man is facing criminal charges after Pennsylvania State Police allege he ignited fireworks inside his apartment early Monday morning, setting off a chain reaction that prompted a response from multiple emergency agencies before the blaze could spread through the building.

Scott W. Hagen, 64, of the 1200 block of Bridge Road, has been charged with misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct, along with three fireworks-related summary offenses, including discharging consumer fireworks from within a building, discharging fireworks into or at a building, and igniting fireworks while under the influence of alcohol, according to a criminal complaint filed by state police…
