Wanted Man Flees Traffic Stop Leading Troopers On Chase Before PIT Maneuver: PSP Bethlehem

A man wanted on a fleeing and eluding warrant was arrested after leading Pennsylvania State Police on a pursuit through Bethlehem before troopers used a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to stop his vehicle, authorities said.

Paulo Silva, 50, fled during a traffic stop conducted by Bethlehem police after officers learned he had an active warrant for fleeing and eluding, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Troopers later located Silva driving on Route 22 East near Route 378 in Bethlehem on Sunday, July 5, at approximately 2:45 p.m. When they attempted to stop him, Silva allegedly refused to yield to emergency lights and sirens, prompting a pursuit, state police said…
