WALKER, Mich. — A man was arrested in Walker after police say he attempted to kidnap a woman on June 12, 2026.
Just before midnight, officers from Walker Police Department (WPD) responded to a gas station after callers reported a 21-year-old woman screaming for help after being dragged across the parking lot by a man.
Officers arrived and found the woman, began patient care, and eventually learned she was brutally assaulted earlier in Kentwood, Kentwood Police said in a post.

The woman was then forced into a white sedan, which stopped in Walker to refuel, where she was able to escape and get help, WPD said in a release. She was transported to a local hospital with several injuries…
