Police ask for tips in shooting that left four hurt in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Police Department continues to investigate an early-morning shooting July 5 that brought a traumatic end to the holiday weekend in southeast Grand Rapids.

“We really have no information yet,” Grand Rapids Chief of Police Joe Trigg told News 8. “Obviously, the detective is working around the clock on it right now.”

4 injured in shooting in southeast Grand Rapids

Four people, including a teenager, were injured in the shooting that happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The signs of that search were evident along Prospect Avenue on Tuesday morning. Detective contact cards tucked behind multiple doorbell cameras, while evidence markers noted lingering bullet holes.

Meantime, headquarters is hoping they will get a tip that will break the case open…
