SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said a Spartanburg County man has been charged with harassment and blackmail.
Officials said 24-year-old Cameron Elliott Paterson of Boiling Springs was arrested on July 2 for two counts each of harassment, second degree and unlawful communication. On July 6, he was additionally charged with blackmail.
According to arrest warrants, Paterson repeatedly contacted the victims by text message, social media, voicemails, and phone calls after he was asked to stop contacting them.
Another arrest warrants stated Paterson blackmailed a victim by stating, “For $100,000, I’ll go away.”…
