KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Consumers Energy crews have been on the ground getting the power back on for more than 250,000 people impacted across Michigan since last week. A storm on Friday knocked power out for tens of thousands of people across West Michigan ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
Thomas Schultz in Kalamazoo says his frustration was over how restoration progress is communicated.
“If we had just known right off the bat it was going to be three days we would have prepared for it. We finally got a generator, but we didn’t get that until like two days in so you know you can prep a little bit better.
