Lavender U-Pick Festival blooms at Ocimeae Farm in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — It’s now July, which means lavender is officially in full bloom. A local U-Pick Festival at Ocimeae Lavender Farm is getting underway this morning in Webberville. While the farm is open for a bit longer than the two-week festival, their products are completely dependent on this time.

6 News had the chance to talk with the owners of Ocimeae Lavender Farm, who say that their farm’s success is largely due to the community support that they’ve received.

“It’s been a very welcoming community for us to start this farm, and we really love all of our guests. And they love us, apparently, because they keep coming back year after year. And we’re just excited to take down the rope every morning and welcome people here,” says Tom Smith, one of the owners of the farm…
