LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – The Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg says several statues were recently vandalized at St. Benedict the Abbot and St. Cecelia parishes. The churches are just over a mile apart on Lehman Street.
The pastor at St. Cecilia’s says it happened on Friday when an angel statue placed in memory of a longtime church secretary was knocked over, along with a statue of the Blessed Mother.
“Everybody’s kinda surprised that something like this would happen,” Rev. Michael Laicha told abc27 Tuesday.
When abc27 came to take a look at the damage, he discovered that their veterans’ memorial was also damaged…
