Ferlandes Wright didn’t want to wait. While most high school juniors were still waiting on college interest, Wright, the 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward, committed in November to his hometown Louisville Cardinals.
Wright detailed his decision to commit to Louisville in an interview with CardinalAuthority. It all came down to his relationship with the coaching staff.
“I got to know them more, and they’ve been committed to me first,” Wright said. “Coach Pat Kelsey and all the other coaches on the staff have the same goal for me as I have for myself. I decided to go for it. Not to mention, it’s the hometown. I know the history of basketball in Louisville. It was definitely something I was excited to commit to.”…
