‘It’s been brutal’: Longs farmer expresses concerns for plant nursery as drought plagues Horry County

LONG, S.C. (WBTW) — Alan Little, owner of Little Nursery Farm in Longs, Horry County, has lost about 100 trees and 300 plants since an extreme drought began.

The approximately 40-year-old farm, located near Highway 905, is struggling due to the prolonged heat wave and a severe lack of water. Horry County is experiencing extreme drought conditions, with some areas reporting the lowest rainfall on record.
