PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Spending time at the beach is a summer staple, but all those hours in the sun can put you at risk of skin cancer.
That’s why the Rhode Island Department of Health, Brown Dermatology and the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island are once again offering free skin cancer screenings at select state beaches during July and August.
“Cancer screenings have the power to save lives,” Health Director Jerry Larkin, MD, said in a press release. “Skin cancer can affect people of all skin tones and complexions, which is why all Rhode Islanders should take advantage of these free, convenient skin cancer checks.”…
