Firefighters stopped the forward progress of a 4-acre fire that threatened structures in South San Jose on Tuesday afternoon.
Air and ground crews were dispatched to the 20200 block of Almaden Road just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, Cal Fire said. The rural area is east of Alamitos Creek in Santa Clara County.
By 2:30 p.m., the fire had consumed about 4 acres and firefighters had stopped forward progress, Cal Fire said. No injuries or damage to buildings were immediately reported…
