AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two former Travis County tax office employees and an outside coordinator were indicted by a grand jury related to their charge of engaging in an organized criminal activity, according to a press release from the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.
The indictment alleged Oct. 5, 2025, tax employees Ana Hernandez and Maira Reyes tampered with governmental records, the press release said. Edwin Hernandez, Ana’s father, was accused of coordinating the scheme by recruiting residents looking for unlawful vehicle registrations.
