Brookfield police on June 23 arrested a 47-year-old Brookfield man for driving under the influence of drugs.
Around 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a car crash at the Eight Corners roundabout wherein a car took “significant” damage to its front passenger tire and bumper. When police arrived, the driver was not on the scene. The driver later identified himself to police as the owner of the car before police realized he was also the driver.
While speaking with the man, police noticed he was swaying when he stood and walked, struggled with his balanced and slurred his words. The man told police he had been driving to a store to buy a drink when he got dizzy and lost consciousness, causing him to strike the curb within the roundabout…
