A woman was arrested after police said she crashed her car on Interstate 110, exited the vehicle, began shooting at cars and hit one person.
Leila Habib, 63, of New Orleans, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, simple damage to property and illegal use of a weapon.
Baton Rouge Police said the shooting happened Sunday afternoon on 647 North Interstate 110, near Harding Boulevard, when Habib crashed a black Nissan Altima on the shoulder and blocked one lane of traffic. The car was reportedly carjacked in New Orleans prior to the crash, police said.
