COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said firefighters responded to over 300 calls for service, with many involving fires, and some caused by fireworks, throughout July 4.
CSFD said between 8 a.m. on July 4 and 8 a.m. on July 5, firefighters responded to 344 calls for service. 23 calls were responded for outside fires, eight of which were caused by fireworks.
In comparison, CSFD said during the same reporting period last year, firefighters responded to 238 calls for service and 17 outside fires, only three of which were caused by fireworks…
