Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center gets new Chairman of the Board

The Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center has announced that Austin McVay, Commercial Relationship Manager with United Community Bank, has been named the Chamber’s 2026–2027 Chairman of the Board. McVay succeeds Trey Powell of Mosquito Joe of Lake Murray, who served as Chairman during the 2025–2026 term.

With more than 13 years of experience in commercial banking, McVay works closely with businesses throughout the Midlands to provide financing and cash management solutions that foster growth and long-term success.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management and an M.B.A. from Clemson University and has completed numerous leadership programs, including Leadership Lexington County, Leadership South Carolina, United Community’s Leadership Academy and Furman University’s Diversity Leadership Initiative. The new Chairman is also currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University…
