MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis City Council committee pushed forward a resolution for its Community Grant Program for the 2027 fiscal year.
This comes after there was a discussion on the county side to do away with its grant program after former County Commissioner Edmund Ford Junior was federally indicted and accused of using his public office to secure grant funds for nonprofits.
