MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $14.7 million to Milwaukee County to modernize Milwaukee County Transit System facilities, County Executive David Crowley announced on Tuesday, July 7.
The funding, secured through USDOT’s BUILD grant program, will replace six underground fuel tanks with modern, monitored versions, install six new bus lifts and upgrade lighting across MCTS facilities, according to the county.
