OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. – A man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies say an armed disturbance on the Fourth of July led to a high-speed pursuit and arrest near Tulsa.
According to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded July 4 to a reported disturbance involving a firearm at a home in southern Osage County.
While deputies were interviewing the victims, Jonathan Benson returned to the area and fled when deputies attempted to contact him, investigators said.
Pursuit Ends With Arrest
Deputies pursued Benson for more than three miles. The sheriff’s office said he reached speeds of 90 to 100 mph, ran two stop signs and endangered other motorists before the pursuit ended safely…
