“The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement temporary nighttime lane closures of the underpass lanes (under Dupont Circle) on Connecticut Avenue NW, between N Street and Q Street, beginning July 9, 2026, for up to four months. The closures are part of the Connecticut Avenue Deckover and Streetscape Project and are necessary for crews to safely install the girders that will serve as the foundation of the deckover portion of the project.
The work will occur over a four-month period:
July 9 – July 30, 2026: Crews will install the girders, with nighttime only lane closures Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and continuous lane closures throughout the weekend from Friday at 8 p.m. through Monday at 5 a.m…
