After long lines for shuttle buses, Metro making tweaks for Red Line shutdown

WASHINGTON (7News) — After long lines for shuttle buses on the first day of a major Red Line shutdown, Metro said adjustments would be made to improve the situation.

During the evening rush hour on Monday, lines grew long on the sidewalk along Wisconsin Avenue near the Friendship Heights station, but on Tuesday, the lines were shorter on average.

Bethesda, Medical Center, and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations are closed through September 6 for Purple Line and other work, meaning Red Line riders can’t take Metrorail between the Friendship Heights and North Bethesda stations…
