A man was arrested for allegedly battering his ex-girlfriend and kidnapping her and her child from their Sparks home.
Sparks Police Department officers responded to a disturbance in the 3000 block of Lepus Drive in Sparks around 8:15 a.m. on July 7. Officers learned during the investigation that the female victim and her 1-year-old child, were missing from the residence.
The caller who reported the incident told officers that she was Facetiming with the victim when she heard the victim scream. Authorities say the caller observed a man inside the residence via Facetime she recognized as 22-year-old Maurion Gaston, who is the ex-boyfriend of the victim and father of the 1-year-old child…
