Man arrested in connection with series of Charleston vandalism incidents

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The Charleston Police Department has charged a man with 13 counts in connection with a series of vandalism incidents over a three-day stretch.

Joshua James Anderson, 21, of Charleston, is charged with 11 counts of malicious injury to personal property and two counts of malicious injury to real property.

Officers received multiple reports that windows on parked vehicles and at businesses were intentionally damaged overnight in the South of Broad Street area between June 28 and July 1. Police later discovered the windows had been shattered after being shot by an air pistol.

Police arrested Anderson in connection with the incidents following an investigation. Police said he allegedly caused thousands of dollars in property damage to vehicles and commercial buildings…
