Indiana Crime Guns Task Force credited with helping drive down homicides in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — More than halfway through the year, Indianapolis is seeing a dramatic decrease in homicides.

The city is at its lowest number in more than a decade and the work of the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force is being credited with making an impact on those numbers.

So far this year, ICGTF operations have resulted in:

  • 14 machine gun conversion devices
  • 127 arrests
  • 143 firearms seized
  • Over 2,600 grams of Fentanyl
  • Over 8,000 grams of Cocaine
  • Nearly 140lbs of total drugs seized
