HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Two local food banks are receiving thousands in donations thanks to a grocery store chain and its shoppers.
Wegmans Food Markets announced the results of its two-week food drive to support local food banks. The effort ran from June 3 to June 17 and raised $769,300, an increase from $43,000 last year.

Of that, $5,602 is going to the Food Bank of Central Pennsylvania from the Harrisburg and Williamsport Wegmans locations and $2,917 is going to the Lancaster County Food Hub from the Lancaster Wegmans.
