(FOX40.COM) — The identity of the man shot and killed by Sacramento deputies during a domestic violence investigation has been released.
William Mattias Kreuzer, a 38-year-old man from Rancho Cordova, was shot Sunday on Interstate 80 following a pursuit. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Kreuzer was “armed with a firearm and pointed it at deputies” before at least one deputy shot and killed him.
The sheriff’s office initially responded to reports of domestic violence on the 2200 block of Zinfandel Drive in Rancho Cordova at about 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, where deputies found a woman who said her ex-husband beat her over three days, pistol-whipped and strangled her until she lost consciousness…
