SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County’s countywide burn ban has been lifted after weekend rainfall helped reduce wildfire risk.
The ban expired July 7 at 11:59 p.m., according to Manatee County. Outdoor burning may now resume in accordance with Florida Forest Service regulations. Burn permits may still be required, depending on the activity.
Activities permitted under the lifted ban include attended outdoor cookers and grills, certain agricultural, silvicultural and land-clearing burns authorized by the Florida Forest Service, properly permitted public fireworks displays, flares discharged over the Gulf and attended liquefied petroleum gas devices, such as grills, camp stoves and fire pits…
