Upper Chichester Township police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the person or people who launched a firework into a crowd during the annual fireworks display on Sunday, July 5.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. near the municipal center on Furey Road as hundreds of residents gathered to enjoy food trucks and the township’s fireworks. Investigators said that one or more unknown individuals launched or threw an ariel-type firework from across the pond into a group of spectators, creating a dangerous situation.
