ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – More than a year after the May 16 tornado, one North County man says his efforts to rebuild have been complicated by what he describes as inconsistent disaster assistance from FEMA.
John Silas, a survivor of the May 16 EF-3 tornado, said his rental home on Labadie Avenue was destroyed when the storm hit.
“The front part of the house had caved in,” Silas said. “She was laying on the sofa just like there. And they caved in on it. She was buried up under that. I had to dig her out. I got her out.”…
