A major Missouri bank has notified the state that it will be closing 9 branches and eliminating 66 jobs as a result including the dates they will close their doors. These include bank branches in Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa and Kansas.
I received an alert that a WARN notice had been sent to Missouri regulators notifying them of bank closures and layoffs that will happen as a result. This WARN notice comes from Great Southern Bank. It stated that these 9 locations will be closing and they provided the dates it will happen and how many employees would be let go:
- 2522 Pinnacle Hills Parkway, Rogers, AR; September 25, 2026; 8 positions
- 331 South Avenue, Springfield, MO; October 1, 2026; 3 positions
- 1444 W State Hwy J, Ozark, MO; October 1, 2026; 6 positions
- 1391 N Main Street, Nixa MO; October 1, 2026; 6 positions
- 150 SE Todd George Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO; October 1, 2026; 3 positions
- 6173 Telegraph Road, Oakville, MO; October 1, 2026; 3 positions
- 2805 S Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA; October1, 2026; 5 positions
- 1290 Coper Creek Drive, Pleasant Hill, IA; October 1, 2026; 4 positions
- 15315 W 135th Street, Olathe, KS; October 1, 2026; 4 positions
These layoffs include two dozen at their Springfield, Missouri headquarters:
