The annual Triple Bypass bike ride will close U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 11, causing other traffic to detour through the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Vehicles hauling hazardous materials having to go through the tunnels means there will be stops for other traffic at the tunnels’ entrances. Hazardous material haulers will receive escorts through the westbound tunnel at the top of the hour and through the eastbound tunnel at the bottom of the hour.
