So Long, Friend
On June 30, 2026, Cathy Grubb turned off her computer, hit the light switch, and closed the door on a career. It’s never fun to say goodbye to co-workers, but this one hits hard. I remember the first time I met Cathy. It was a State Bowling Tournament, who knows when. I could probably narrow it down to a decade—1990s, I would guess. Ya, we go back a ways. I remember Mel Frosch said something like, “You need to meet the Belle Fourche coach, Cathy Grubb. She’s an awesome coach and a better person.” Of course, Mel was right.
We made it! Through rain, cold, and stifling heat, we have completed our 8 Week Challenge.
