EAGLE RIVER, Alaska (KTUU) – A new self-serve bake stand opened three weeks ago in Eagle River and is drawing steady crowds and selling out nearly every weekend.
Fullmer’s Farmstand, situated on Whirlaway Road in the heart of the community, is run by Kailee Fullmer, who said she has been baking as a hobby for years before deciding to set up the stand. She said she was inspired by similar stands she had seen in the southern U.S.
“I’ve been baking just as a hobby for years,” Fullmer said. “So I was like, maybe I’ll start one.”
