Construction continues at Easy Like Sunday as the well-loved Baltimore brunch spot is expanding into downtown Silver Spring, with exterior signage and interior fixtures nearing completion.
We last reported in June that construction had begun at the former home of El Sapo Cuban Social Club, which closed in late 2024 at the Central Apartments building at 8455 Fenton Street. El Sapo’s sister restaurant, Urban Butcher, hit the “pause button” on operations in 2020 and has not reopened since.
Chef Sean MacCuish, his wife, Anna MacCuish, and Anna’s cousin, Antonios Kokolis, first launched Easy Like Sunday in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2020.
