Norfolk State women’s basketball standout Carmen Kweti is headed to one of basketball’s most iconic venues. Kweti has been selected to compete in the HBCU All-Star Dream Classic, which will be held Aug. 8 at New York City’s famed Rucker Park.
She is one of 40 HBCU women’s basketball players chosen to participate in the showcase, which will also feature a men’s all-star game highlighting talent from HBCUs. The selection marks another milestone in Kweti’s collegiate basketball journey, which has included standout seasons at both Virginia State and Norfolk State.
Kweti began her HBCU career at Virginia State during the 2024-25 season, where she quickly established herself as one of Division II’s top interior players. She appeared in 29 games, making 23 starts, while averaging 6.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Her rebounding average led the CIAA and ranked fourth in NCAA Division II…
