Construction has started on the eastbound U.S. 20 bridge over Grove Creek in western Winnebago County.
The project involves repairing the bridge deck and approach pavement, with one lane remaining open during the work, according to a community announcement. The construction zone is just east of the Stephenson County line.
The work is expected to be completed in October.
