Wichita residents at ease after Minisa bridge meeting

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Traffic troubles are on the horizon for a well-used bridge in Wichita.

The city held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss construction plans for the Minisa bridge, across from North High.

Several people shared concerns on social media about the timeline of the project since it will not be fully complete until November, which is the middle of the school year. Despite these worries, the tone of the meeting was positive.

Magaret Shabazz, an advocate in the area, was concerned prior to coming to the meeting, but she said that her questions were answered.

“I do feel at ease, and I’m comfortable that the city knows what they’re doing,” Shabazz said. “I’m happy that we’re moving forward with this.”…
