The Buffalo Police Department’s brass has issued an apology to other local communities following comments made amid a violent Fourth of July weekend in the city.
Over the course of the holiday weekend, 11 people were shot in six separate shootings. When talking about the massive street takeover on Stevens Avenue that police are partially blaming the violence on, a BPD chief said people from outside the city, most notably Lancaster, rode in to take part.
