Piedmont Columbus Regional reflects on expansion and celebrates next generation of health professionals

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — During the final quarter of Piedmont Columbus Regional’s 2026 fiscal year, officials saw the expansion of access to care and are celebrating the next generation of professionals who will continue providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

In May, a $58 million Intensive Care Unit (ICU) expansion project was completed at Piedmont Columbus Midtown, which officials said increases critical care capacity with 43 new ICU beds and 68 renovated rooms across three nursing units.
