Huntington Beach police warning against ‘takeover’ events

Huntington Beach authorities Thursday took to social media, warning against illegal gatherings and “takeover” events in their coastal city, several days after another Orange County community experienced chaos driven by out-of-state visitors.

The Huntington Beach Police Department said that a flyer is circulating on social media, promoting a “takeover” in the near future. Takeovers often involve large crowds of people, often youth, flooding public spaces like beaches.
