East Providence roundabout changes spark debate among residents

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Freshly painted road instructions and temporary signs are now in place at the Willett Avenue roundabout in East Providence.

The changes were made a few weeks ago after Mayor Bob DaSilva did a ride-along with a resident who pointed out that the yield signs had been configured in a way that differed from other intersections in the state.

Previously, those driving in the roundabout had to yield to cars entering the intersection…
