We begin Thursday morning with marine clouds in northern communities and minimal clouds through Santa Barbara and further south. All clouds clear by lunch and temperatures skyrocket. Inland areas remain under a Heat Advisory while inland valleys are now under an Extreme Heat Watch through late tonight. Use caution when doing strenuous activities outside and plan those runs for the morning! Highs will reach into the 80s, 90s and triple digits. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Gaviota Corridor from 4pm-8pm with sundowner winds in the forecast. Overnight lows will be additionally hot as well. Check on those at risk.
We hold with the heat Friday. Many areas see a few degrees of a cooling trend and enough onshore flow to let all Heat Alerts expire. More clouds will be produced in the mornings. This will be the perfect beach day for many, so head out and enjoy!…
