Man Found Guilty in Execution-Style Gaithersburg Murder

A Montgomery County jury has convicted Quinnton Eric Brown, 39, of first-degree murder and multiple other charges in the 2024 killing of 35-year-old Delondre Sawyer, whose body was found in a wooded area off Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg.

Prosecutors said Sawyer was driving a 2013 Honda Accord on Feb. 7, 2024, when Brown, who was seated behind him, shot him in the back of the head. Brown and his co-defendants then stripped Sawyer, left his body in the woods, stole several of his belongings and took his vehicle, which was later recovered in Germantown.
