Tallahassee man federally indicted after arrest in LCSO undercover operation last month

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – One of seven people arrested in a Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) undercover operation last month has now been federally indicted, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Florida.

Amontea Mitchell, 28, is indicted by a federal grand jury for attempted enticement of a minor, attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Mitchell was arrested in “Operation Fool’s End,” which was completed in April for those who sought to sexually exploit children online, per previous reporting.

The other suspects arrested during the operation included Christopher Brewer, Maxwell Brower, Jason Callahan, Jordan Harting, Tyler Haude and Jeffery Wharton…
