DES MOINES, Iowa – The countdown to the 2026 Iowa State Fair is on, but you don’t have to wait until August to get your fair food fix. The Corndog Kickoff is this weekend.
The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation hosts the annual fundraiser at the Varied Industries Building on Saturday, July 11th. It includes fair food grazing and a silent and live auction.

Blue Ribbon Foundation Executive Director Peter Cownie said money raised will go towards renovations and improvements at the fairgrounds. Plus, it helps get people in the “Fair Spirit.”
